Creativity with Compassion @shellsbylou

In the South of KZN, two retired guardian angels, Val and Veronica, quietly carry out a task of deep compassion. Through their soup kitchen they care for elderly souls who can no longer financially provide meals for themselves. The angels offer nourishment, dignity, warmth, and connection.

Each week begins with intention. They gather fresh produce with care, knowing the souls it will serve. Hours are spent side by side, chopping vegetables, sharing quiet moments as they prepare nourishing food. When the day comes to cook, the kitchen fills with the sound of bubbling pots and the comforting smell of meals to come. Containers are filled with nourishing food, some frozen for the days ahead, others handed to those in need, a heartfelt gesture of care.

Contributing towards this effort is Louise, a lady with a passion for the sea and its treasures and creatures. Her small, creative hobby is, “@shellsbylou”. 100% of the profit from the sales of shell art and shell jewellery flows into the angel's soup kitchen and transforms creativity into kindness and compassion.
